A few words

Araceli Tzigane began her activities in promoting world music in 2000, out of an overpowering need to share with others the sounds that gave her so much happiness. This was the driving force behind all the initiatives that followed.

Araceli is the director of Mapamundi Música. Mapamundi Música is a booking and organisation management agency specialising in peoples’ music, mainly acoustic, based in Spain but operating worldwide.

Its international presence pushes it to keep up to date with artistic news and to maintain contact and exchange information with cultural operators and artists from all over the world. She is also the founder and administrator of the Transglobal World Music Chart and runs the radio show Mundofonías, which is broadcast in 18 countries, together with Juan Antonio Vázquez.
