A few words

Janusz Prusinowski is a Polish musician, composer and leader of his band “Janusz Prusinowski Kompania”, founder of the “House of Dance” in Poland, and he is the president of the Mazurka’s of the World Foundation.

From the beginning of the 1990s, Janusz and his team started to place value on and learn from the village masters, who had been neglected for decades.  And, after that, they started to disseminate this music in events with live music and to teach it to younger musicians.

Nowadays, he and the team of the Foundation, organize, already for 11 years, several festivals in Warsaw, that are a bridge between the old and the young, the rural and the urban.

With his band, they have released 4 albums and toured all over Europe and played in Japan, South Korea and North America.
