Black Sea, myriads of nations, myriads of languages, one sea.
The waters of Black Sea separate Eastern Europe from Western Asia. Yet, they unite the breaths and songs of many peoples in its coasts.
The lands that are washed by the Black Sea are places where so many nations have lived and continue to be living throughout the centuries. So many different cultures of extreme interest have coexisted to date in the mountains of Caucasus.
Two significant pieces of this beautiful mosaic of cultures, Armenia and Pontus, are represented on stage in a unique music partnership that is presented for the very first time in Cosmopolis, Haig Yazdjian from Armenia and the musical ensemble Argatia with the exceptional Alexandros Parcharidis from Pontus. Even if it is in different languages and dialects, the residents of these beautiful places have been singing for the same sorrows and joys for hundreds of years now.
The unique soloist in oud and a one of a kind performer Haig Yazdjian who moves us with his expressive immediacy, together with Argatia and Alexis Parcharidis, all of them viglators in Ararat, will serve Odes and Notes of the blessed Anatolia, seeking the rights of its peoples.
