Jim Politis (Dimitris Politis) is a composer, guitar teacher and guitarist, with 14 personal albums as a composer, more than 35 albums as a producer/composer in various styles of music and many collaborations as a session guitarist.
He combines many different genres of music, such as fusion, bebop, gypsy jazz, balkan, metal, rock, blues, funk, soul, percussion guitar and in his musical vision and performance he presents a modern approach to acoustic jazz music.
He has performed on stage with Stochelo Rosenberg of “The Rosenberg Trio” (on a European tour in 2015), with bassist Stu Hamm (Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Frank Gambale etc.) in 2018, and collaborated on many albums with very notable Greek musicians, composers, producers and artists.
He has performed live at numerous venues and festivals around the world, including The Royal Albert Hall (UK), Djangofollies Festival (Belgium), UK Jazz and Blues Festival (UK), Brussels Jazz Marathon (Belgium), JekerJazz Festival (Netherlands), Esplanade Theatre (Singapore), etc.
