Few words

Nikos Portokaloglou, one of the country’s leading musicians and songwriters, is presenting this summer a musical performance based on his most beloved songs and bold combinations of Greek and foreign iconic songs in the special way he does it on his TV show, “Music Box”.

Nikos Portokaloglou along with his excellent collaborators, keeps us all company every Wednesday through the very successful show ” Music Box” on ERT1. Founder and creator of the show, he meets special guests and shares original arrangements of favourite songs, setting up a unique live TV show every week.

The title of his summer concert, “A light lit”, came from his latest creation, a melancholic yet hopeful folk song with electric guitar and bouzouki. The visualization of the song was made by Nikos Portokaloglou with his mobile phone in his beloved Pelion, combined with visual games by the creative team of FossProductions.

With him, Vicky Karatzoglou, one of the youngest recognizable genuine folk voices, who has already carved a special path in the Greek music scene. “Three minutes and something” is the title of her new album released by PanikRecords, with many important contributors and a fresh sound that embraces her folk elements and blends uniformly with Nikos’ songs and aesthetics.

Byron Tsouropis, a loyal companion of Nikos Portokaloglou in recent years in his live performances, has become more widely known through “Musiko Kouti”, as a member of the show’s band. This year, he travels with his beautiful songs from his new album “Leksis Makrosirites”
