Nostimon imar. The day of return. That is how Homer named that day, when long-suffering Odysseus would be returning to his fatherland after ten years of unspeakable wandering. What might one be thinking when they say goodbye to the yard of their home? What promises do the olives and the waves make? Will the pomegranate tree be blooming again? Is it right for one to leave? Is it right to dream of coming back? How heavy is a ten-kilo bag, after all?
With his classical guitar, Stratos Emmanouilidis is presenting some extracts from his debut album entitled “Nostimon Imar”, a musical narration of those seconds when someone stands undecided right outside their door to make their way to a new homeland.
The world of “Nostimon Imar” is completed with melodies of “eclectic” music genres, familiar to most of us.
